Physical Test for Constable / Junior Patrol Officer

The Constable post is a uniform post, so shortlisted candidates face physical measurement and a physical test before the interview. According to the NJP listings, the physical test for male candidates includes 10 push-ups in one minute and a one-mile run in nine minutes, together with height and chest measurement as per NHMP rules. Read the physical standards in the listing carefully and start preparing early — most constable candidates are decided at this stage.
