Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 — 829 Balochistan Quota Posts | Last Date 11 November 2026

Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026

Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 are now open for Balochistan candidates, with 829 posts on offer.

Pakistan Railways has opened one of the largest recruitment rounds of the year for Balochistan, with 829 posts reserved under the Balochistan quota. The posts sit in three advertisements dated 27 October 2026, and they cover grades from BPS-01 to BPS-16, from primary-pass gangmen to sub-engineers and assistant station masters. Applications are made online only, through the National Job Portal, and the process is part of a wider federal drive to fill Balochistan quota posts on merit.

With 468 gangman seats alone, this round gives primary-pass candidates from the Quetta division a rare large opening, while the headquarters and ministry posts give diploma and degree holders a second route in the same round.

For another Balochistan quota opening through the same portal, see Cabinet Division Jobs 2026.

The smaller Quetta posts include store chowkidar, crane muawan, sweeper sanitation, electrical examiner, train lighting muawan, jeep driver and X-ray assistant. Jeep drivers need Matric second division and a driving licence, and the X-ray assistant post is open to women.

Read the gangman line twice: the advertisement says primary pass and domicile of the relevant districts of the Railway Quetta Division only. A Balochistan domicile from a district outside that division may not be enough for gangman and gatekeeper posts, and the advertisement does not list the districts, so call the Quetta office on 081-9201893 before you rely on it. Anyone found with a dual domicile, or a domicile from another province, is disqualified at once.

Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026: Headquarters and ministry posts

The Lahore headquarters advertisement offers 20 sub-engineer posts in BS-11 and 4 assistant station master posts in BS-14. Sub-engineers need Matric science second division and a three-year DAE in the matching technology: 8 mechanical, 3 signal, 2 telecom, 3 electrical power, and 2 civil plus 2 drawing, with drawing also needing an AutoCAD or similar certificate.

Assistant Station Master Grade-I needs a BA or BSc second division with a six-month computer course, and women can apply.

The ministry in Islamabad has 6 office posts: steno typist BPS-14 (Intermediate, 80 words per minute shorthand, 40 words per minute typing), LDC BPS-11 (Matric, 30 words per minute typing), staff car driver BPS-04 (primary, LTV or HTV licence) and 3 naib qasids BPS-01 (primary). The ministry posts carry a 5 per cent minority quota and a 10 per cent women quota, and the wider round also includes a 10 per cent women quota and a 5 per cent minority quota.

Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 eligibility and selection

All three advertisements set the age at 18 to 30 years plus 5 years for Balochistan candidates, so 35 in practice, counted on 11 November 2026. Ex-servicemen, government servants, disabled candidates and children of deceased civil servants get further relaxation, but only under one category.

Selected candidates must pass a medical test and a security clearance, and Quetta recruits train at the Pakistan Railway Academy in Walton, Lahore. Interviews for BS-01 to BS-05 posts are walk-in, and recruitment happens at the Divisional Superintendent Office on Zarghoon Road, Quetta. No travel allowance is paid.

Candidates from other provinces cannot apply for this round, even for the Lahore headquarters posts, because the whole round is reserved for Balochistan domicile holders.

Important Notes

  • The last date to apply is 11 November 2026 for all three Balochistan quota advertisements. Recruitment for this round is to be completed before 30 November 2026.
  • No written or screening test is charged for this special recruitment initiative, and applications are online only — the advertisements do not ask for paper forms.
  • Never pay anyone for shortlisting, a test, an interview or an offer. Genuine Pakistan Railways recruitment through the National Job Portal is free, and any demand for money is a scam.
  • Always confirm your post, its qualification and the closing date on the National Job Portal listing itself before you apply, because the portal listing is the official record for your post.

In short, Pakistan Railways Jobs 2026 gives Balochistan candidates 829 openings in a single round, led by 468 gangman seats for primary-pass applicants and backed by trade, diploma and degree posts. Check your district domicile first, match one post to your qualification, and submit a complete online application well before 11 November 2026.
